Bible Study
The Rev. Dr. Charles "Buz" Myers will lead the Bible Study for the 2011 Bible Conference. Dr. Myers teaches in the Religion Department at Gettysburg College, Gettysburg, PA. He is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is active in the work of the Presbytery of Carlisle, in the Synod of the Trinity, and in the General Assembly of the PCUSA.
Charles "Buz" is a graduate of Duke University and Princeton Theological Seminary. Before teaching at Gettysburg, he taught religion courses at Princeton Seminary, the Lutheran Theological Sminary in Philadelphia, and at Swarthmore College.
His published works include Mark's Gospel from Scratch: The New Testament for Beginners co-authored with Donald Griggs. He is co-editor and contributor to Biblical Theology: Problems and Prospects. His work appears in scholarly journals and in the Anchor Bible Dictionary, a multi-volume reference work.
Dr. Myer's wife, the Rev. Anne Kimrey Myers, is Head of Chaplain Services at the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill. They have two daughters, Annabelle and Charlotte.
