Overview

Coming soon...Mission at Massanetta is back! After taking a pause due to the pandemic, Mission at Massanetta is having a soft relaunch summer of 2023.

We are full for the summer! Thank you to everyone who has reached out or shown interest in coming this summer. We look forward to having more groups with us summer 2024!

Mission at Massanetta is a unique mission experience—churches and groups from around the country come to Massanetta Springs to experience mission in both a urban and rural setting. Mission at Massanetta started in the summer of 2009 and over the years, grew into a thriving mission program. Due to the pandemic, Mission at Massanetta took a pause. But with life going back to “normal,” Massanetta Springs is excited to bring this program back!

Community Partners

Mission projects for groups are careful selected based upon the skill set of the group, particularly the adult leaders. Mission at Massanetta offers a diverse group of community partners each working to address different issues in Harrisonburg and in the surrounding areas including:

  • Food Justice

  • People Experiencing Homelessness

  • Other Social Services

  • Animals in Our Community

  • Thrift Stores and Other Second-Hand Stores

For youth groups, Mission at Massanetta requires one adult for every seven youth (of each gender).
